Associate eligibility (AIoL)

  • Coaching Development Programme
  • Performance Coaching and Stress Management Programme
  • Positive Psychology Coaching Development Programme

Successful completion of one of these IoL Approved Programmes provides a recognised route to eligibility for Associate membership.

Member eligibility (MIoL)

  • Psychological Coaching Development Programme after the Coaching Development Programme and/or Performance Coaching and Stress Management Programme
  • Advanced Coaching Development Programme
  • Advanced Coaching Psychology Development Programme for psychologists

The advanced programmes are 105-hour pathways comprising Coaching Development, Performance Coaching and Stress Management, and Psychological Coaching Development.

Want to try a shorter programme first?

You can attend an individual 2-day module from the Performance Coaching and Stress Management Programme as a taster. Examples include Performance Coaching, Stress Management, Assertion and Communication Skills, Developing Resilience, Problem Focused Coaching, Health and Wellbeing Coaching and Relaxation Skills.

A 2-day taster module does not itself provide eligibility for Institute of Leadership membership. Membership eligibility applies when the requirements of the full IoL Approved Programme are completed.
